Sprayed concrete is particularly well suited to use in the construction of free form structures. In comparison with conventionally poured concrete, sprayed concrete requires far less formwork. This is especially true if the designer wishes to use curved or organic shapes which may be impossible to achieve using conventional formwork. Virtually any shape can be formed especially thin shells and linings.

As such, it is often used for:

  • Swimming pools
  • Landscaping
  • Climbing walls
  • Theme parks
  • Skate parks
  • Sculpture
  • Water sports slalom courses
  • Bobsleigh runs
  • Zoological structures
